The Aśūnyaśayanā Vow (Unempty Bed) and the Aṅgāraka Caturthī Observance

रूपार्थी त्वां प्रपन्नोहं गृहाणार्घ्यं नमोऽस्तु ते । मंत्रेणानेन दत्वार्घ्यं रक्तचंदनवारिणा

rūpārthī tvāṃ prapannohaṃ gṛhāṇārghyaṃ namo'stu te | maṃtreṇānena datvārghyaṃ raktacaṃdanavāriṇā

Nach Schönheit verlangend habe ich bei dir Zuflucht genommen. Nimm diese Arghya-Darbringung an; Verehrung sei dir. Nachdem man mit diesem Mantra Arghya dargebracht hat, mit Wasser, das nach rotem Sandel duftet, (verehrt man auf diese Weise).
