Application: Read or chant a small portion daily; share teachings without ego; dedicate merit for others’ welfare; cultivate consistent Vishnu-smaraṇa.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

FAQs

It praises all three: listening (śṛṇoti), reciting/speaking (vakti), and thorough reading/recitation (paripaṭhati), provided they are done with devotion.

It states that devotional engagement with the text makes one a bhaktimān—an actual devotee of Viṣṇu (Paṅkajanābha)—highlighting devotion as the transformative principle.

The verse links spiritual merit with paropakāra (benefiting others), teaching that sharing sacred knowledge/devotional recitation for others’ welfare is especially praiseworthy.
