Application: Hold reverence without hostility: honor diverse sacred forms while keeping one’s iṣṭa-devatā focus steady; let worship end in humility (namas) and gratitude.

FAQs

Yes. The verse places salutations to Śaṅkara (Śiva) alongside salutations to Hari (Viṣṇu), reflecting a reconciliatory devotional tone where both are honored.

Vāsudevī is a feminine divine designation linked to Vāsudeva (Viṣṇu/Kṛṣṇa), used here as an object of reverence; in Purāṇic usage it can indicate the Lord’s śakti/consort aspect depending on context.

The implied lesson is reverential humility (namas) and inclusive devotion—offering respect to the divine forms and their sacred feet, emphasizing bhakti expressed through salutations.
