Pulastya (to Bhīṣma)

Concept: Tapas performed with steadiness yields divine favor and extraordinary capacities; boons are framed as dharmically earned, not случай.

Application: Undertake disciplined practice (vrata-like consistency) and use any ‘powers’—status, wealth, influence—for dharmic ends rather than ego.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: vira

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"On a high mountain hermitage, King Puṣpavāhana stands with folded hands as Brahmā, four-faced and serene, extends a radiant golden lotus into his palms. FAQs

It presents tapas (austerity) as spiritually efficacious: when Brahmā is pleased, he grants a boon symbolized by a golden lotus that enables unrestricted travel (yathākāma-gamana).

“Caturvaktra” is a common epithet of Brahmā, the four-faced creator deity.

Disciplined effort and self-restraint (tapas) are shown as a means to attain higher capacities and divine favor, implying that inner discipline precedes outer power.
