Puṣkara Sacrifice: Gāyatrī’s Marriage, Sāvitrī’s Wrath, Rudra’s Test, and the Tīrtha-Māhātmya

गतेषु तेषु सर्वेषु गायत्री सा सुमध्यमा । ब्रह्मणा सहिता रेजे यज्ञवाटं गता सती

gateṣu teṣu sarveṣu gāyatrī sā sumadhyamā | brahmaṇā sahitā reje yajñavāṭaṃ gatā satī

Als sie alle fortgegangen waren, begab sich jene schlanktaillige Gāyatrī — tugendhaft und rein — zur Opferstätte; von Brahmā begleitet, erstrahlte sie in Glanz.
