अगस्त्य उवाच । हयमेधक्रतौ योग्यान्वाहांस्ते बहुशः शुभान् । पश्यतो नेत्रयोर्मेऽद्य तृप्तिर्नास्ति रघूत्तम
agastya uvāca | hayamedhakratau yogyānvāhāṃste bahuśaḥ śubhān | paśyato netrayorme'dya tṛptirnāsti raghūttama
Agastya sprach: „O Bester aus dem Geschlecht der Raghu, obgleich meine eigenen Augen heute die vielen glückverheißenden und würdigen Opferpferde sehen, die du für das Aśvamedha versammelt hast, findet mein Blick noch immer keine Sättigung.“
