Yayāti’s Ascent to Heaven

and Entry into Vaikuṇṭha

FAQs

It denotes the supreme realm associated with Viṣṇu—an exalted destination attained through devotional-aligned merit, dharma, and tapas.

It presents righteousness (dharma) and austerity (tapas) as generators of puṇya (merit), whose spiritual “radiance” becomes the causal force for reaching the highest Vaiṣṇava realm.

Sustained moral conduct and disciplined effort are portrayed as transformative, benefiting not only an individual but also enabling the upliftment of others toward a higher spiritual goal.
