Unclear from the single verse (context needed from surrounding verses)

Concept: Claims about influence (vaśya/avaśya) require careful grounding; confirmation by a mahātmā is sought to prevent error and misuse.

Application: Avoid manipulating others; when discussing power dynamics, seek ethical oversight and verify facts before acting.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A serious conversation unfolds: a vipra listens while a speaker recounts being summoned for confirmation regarding the subtle causes of influence and resistance. In the background, a dignified mahātmā sits like a moral axis, his presence implying that truth must be tested and verified.","primary_figures":["vipra (listener)","speaker (unclear identity)","mahātmā (summoning authority)"],"setting":"A shaded hermitage hall or council space with low seats, manuscripts, and a quiet air of ethical deliberation.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["warm amber","smoke brown","ivory","deep green","copper"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: a council-like mandapa with gold leaf lamps; the mahātmā enthroned modestly with halo; the speaker gesturing in explanation to a seated vipra; ornate borders, rich maroons and greens, embossed gold accents.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate indoor pavilion with soft lamplight; delicate expressions showing concern and restraint; muted earth tones with a warm glow, fine textile patterns.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: frontal seated mahātmā as central moral anchor; two figures in dialogue at the sides; bold outlines, warm reds/yellows, stylized lamp motifs.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: narrative panel framed by floral borders; central seated saintly figure with lotus halo; side figures in respectful dialogue; deep indigo background with gold and amber highlights."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Bhairavi","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["low temple bell","soft drone (tanpura)","night insects","pages turning","silence after key terms"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: मामेवं→माम्+एवम्; वश्यावश्यत्वकारणम्→वश्य+अवश्य+त्व+कारणम्; प्रत्ययार्थं→प्रत्ययार्थम्; अस्यैव→अस्य+एव; समाहूता (पाठभेद) here taken as समाहूताः (plural) by context.

FAQs

It states that the speaker, while explaining the cause of being ‘amenable’ or ‘unamenable’ (vaśya/avaśya), is summoned by a great person to verify or confirm the truth of the matter.

Pratyayārtham means “for confirmation/assurance,” indicating that the summoning is meant to establish certainty about what was being discussed.

This cannot be identified reliably from the single verse alone; the surrounding narrative (earlier/later shlokas in Adhyaya 62) is needed to name the dialogue participants.
