FAQs

It indicates an aura of spiritual power (tejas), portraying the brāhmaṇa as surrounded by radiant energy, a common Purāṇic marker of tapas (ascetic potency) or divine favor.

'Bhāmini' is a vocative used for a woman who is passionate, proud, or prone to anger; it frames the emotional tone and suggests the addressee reacts with agitation upon seeing the radiant ascetic.

The verse contrasts inner spiritual luminosity with outward emotional turbulence, implying that encountering true spiritual power can expose or provoke unresolved passions, urging restraint and reverence.
