दयादानपरो नित्यं जीवमेव प्ररक्षयेत् । चांडालोऽप्यथ शूद्रो वा स वै ब्राह्मण उच्यते

dayādānaparo nityaṃ jīvameva prarakṣayet | cāṃḍālo'pyatha śūdro vā sa vai brāhmaṇa ucyate

Wer stets der Barmherzigkeit und dem Almosengeben hingegeben ist und wahrhaft die Lebewesen schützt—sei er Caṇḍāla oder Śūdra—der wird in Wahrheit brāhmaṇa genannt.
