The Birth of King Pṛthu: Vena’s Fall, the Sages’ Churning, and Earth’s Surrender

अभ्यधावत वेगेन बाणपाणिर्धनुर्धरः । सा गौर्भूत्वा द्विजश्रेष्ठा स्वर्गमेव गता ध्रुवम्

abhyadhāvata vegena bāṇapāṇirdhanurdharaḥ | sā gaurbhūtvā dvijaśreṣṭhā svargameva gatā dhruvam

Der Bogenschütze, den Pfeil in der Hand und den Bogen tragend, stürmte mit Macht heran. Doch jene, die Vornehmste unter den Dvija, wurde zur Kuh und ging gewiss allein in den Himmel ein.
