FAQs

It portrays Brahmā assigning administrative authority by consecrating a qualified figure (Puṣkara) as a Prajāpati, suggesting an ordered delegation of creation and stewardship.

Here Puṣkara is presented as a person (Varuṇa’s son) being anointed; it is not explicitly the well-known Puṣkara tīrtha, though the name may evoke wider Purāṇic associations.

The verse emphasizes legitimacy through consecration and responsibility through appointed duty—authority is depicted as conferred for service and order, not mere personal power.
