शब्दस्तु तामसाज्जज्ञे तस्मादाकाश एव च । आकाशादभवत्स्पर्शस्तस्माद्वायुरभूत्सति ॥ ५७ ॥
śabdastu tāmasājjajñe tasmādākāśa eva ca | ākāśādabhavatsparśastasmādvāyurabhūtsati || 57 ||
Aus dem tāmasa-Aspekt (von Trägheit beherrscht) entstand der Klang; daraus ging wahrlich der Äther, ākāśa, hervor. Aus ākāśa entstand die Berührung, und daraus, der Ordnung gemäß, wurde der Wind, vāyu, geboren.
