Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It affirms the Lord’s infinitude: even the highest classes of beings cannot grasp His boundary, so contemplating Him as “Ananta” trains the mind toward transcendence and supports liberation-oriented devotion.
By emphasizing the divine name “Ananta,” the verse directs devotees to nāma-smaraṇa (remembrance of the Lord’s names and attributes), strengthening surrender and awe toward Vishnu’s limitless reality.
Primarily Vyākaraṇa/Nirukta-style insight into a divine epithet: understanding the name “Ananta” (a-nanta, ‘without end’) as a meaningful theological designation used for meditation and recitation.
