FAQs

It highlights dhārmic humility: recognizing sanctity in holy persons and expressing reverence through namaskāra and a lowered gaze, a key inner discipline emphasized in tīrtha-mahātmya contexts.

Bhakti is shown through embodied reverence—bowing and standing humbly before the revered ‘jagannāthas’; devotion is not only worship in temples but also honor toward saintly, dharma-bearing persons.

It reflects śiṣṭācāra (proper conduct) aligned with Dharmaśāstra tradition—ritual etiquette such as respectful greeting (namaskāra) and humble posture when approaching learned brāhmaṇas.
