Pūjādi-kathana — Gaṅgā Vratas, Tenfold Worship, Stotra, and Mokṣa on the Riverbank

शिवं संपूज्य पुष्पाद्यैर्भोज्यं तु संनिवेद्य च । काष्ठमौनेन भुंजानो वटकाष्टेन वै तथा ॥ ३० ॥

śivaṃ saṃpūjya puṣpādyairbhojyaṃ tu saṃnivedya ca | kāṣṭhamaunena bhuṃjāno vaṭakāṣṭena vai tathā || 30 ||

Nachdem man Śiva gebührend mit Blumen und dergleichen verehrt und die Speise als Naivedya dargebracht hat, soll man sodann essen, indem man das „hölzerne Schweigen“ (ohne zu sprechen) wahrt, und dabei auch ein Stück Banyanholz (vaṭa) verwenden.
