The Description of the Greatness of the Gaṅgā
अंधाञ्जडान्द्रव्यहीनांश्च गंगा संपावयेद्बृहती विश्वरूपा । देवैः सेंद्रैर्मुनिभिर्मानवैश्च निषेविता सर्वकालं समृद्ध्ये ॥ १६ ॥
aṃdhāñjaḍāndravyahīnāṃśca gaṃgā saṃpāvayedbṛhatī viśvarūpā | devaiḥ seṃdrairmunibhirmānavaiśca niṣevitā sarvakālaṃ samṛddhye || 16 ||
Die mächtige Gaṅgā—weit und von universaler Gestalt—reinigt vollkommen selbst Blinde, Geistesträge und Arme ohne Mittel. Von den Göttern mit Indra, von Weisen und von Menschen zu allen Zeiten verehrt, bleibt sie ewig eine Quelle des Wohlstands.
