Vasiṣṭha sprach: Nachdem der Weise den König von Sünde befreit hatte, lächelte er, als lache er über die Hauseidechse; dann, erfreut, sagte er zu Mohinī: „Steig schnell auf das Pferd.“

The verse highlights pāpa-kṣaya (removal of sin) as a concrete turning point in a tīrtha-mahātmya-style narrative: once impurity (pātaka) is removed, right action and onward movement become possible.
Bhakti is implied through the theme of purification and divine-aligned guidance: when sin is cleared, the devotee becomes fit to proceed swiftly on the dharmic path—often, in the Purāṇas, toward worship, pilgrimage, or service connected with Viṣṇu-centered merit.
The practical takeaway relates to Dharma-śāstric prāyaścitta logic (applied ethics and ritual purification): the narrative frames how pātaka is removed and the person is restored to eligibility for further rites and sacred travel, though no specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is explicitly taught in this single verse.
