एकादशीसमं किंचित्पापनाशं न विद्यते । व्याजेनापि कृता राजन्न दर्शयति भास्करिम् ॥ १५ ॥

Transliteration

ekādaśīsamaṃ kiṃcitpāpanāśaṃ na vidyate | vyājenāpi kṛtā rājanna darśayati bhāskarim || 15 ||

Translation

O König, es gibt keine Sünden tilgende Übung, die Ekādaśī gleichkäme. Selbst wenn man sie nur zum Vorwand hält, lässt sie die „Sonne“ der Sündenfolgen nicht aufgehen, das heißt: sie verhindert das Hervortreten der karmischen Konsequenzen.
