अयनादयनं यावद् वर्जयेत्पुष्पसर्पिषी तदन्ते पुष्पदामानि घृतधेन्वा सहैव तु //

Transliteration

ayanādayanaṃ yāvad varjayetpuṣpasarpiṣī tadante puṣpadāmāni ghṛtadhenvā sahaiva tu //

Translation

Von einem Ayana (Halbjahr) bis zum nächsten soll man auf Darbringungen von Blumen und Ghee (sarpis) verzichten. Am Ende dieser Zeit sind Blumengirlanden darzubringen, zusammen mit einer ghṛta-dhenu, einer Kuhspende, die sinnbildlich mit Ghee ausgestattet ist.
