Matsya Purana — Measures of Time: Caturyuga Computation, Shloka 39

क्रमागतं मयाप्येतत् तुभ्यं नोक्तं युगद्वयम् ऋषिवंशप्रसङ्गेन व्याकुलत्वात्तथा क्रमात् //

kramāgataṃ mayāpyetat tubhyaṃ noktaṃ yugadvayam ṛṣivaṃśaprasaṅgena vyākulatvāttathā kramāt //

Obwohl dieses Thema der rechten Reihenfolge nach an die Reihe kam, habe ich dir die beiden Yugas nicht genannt; denn—durch den Zusammenhang mit der Episode über die Abstammung der ṛṣis in Anspruch genommen—fuhr ich in jener Ordnung fort und wurde durch diese Abschweifung abgelenkt.
