Matsya Purana — Dynastic Genealogies: Paurava–Anu Lines
प्रतिष्ठामागतानां हि ब्राह्मण्यं कारयंस्ततः ततो मानुषयोन्यां स जनयामास वै प्रजाः //
pratiṣṭhāmāgatānāṃ hi brāhmaṇyaṃ kārayaṃstataḥ tato mānuṣayonyāṃ sa janayāmāsa vai prajāḥ //
Wahrlich, nachdem jene sich niedergelassen und gefestigt hatten, ließ er die brahmanische Ordnung einsetzen. Danach brachte er, durch Zeugung im menschlichen Schoß, wahrhaft die Nachkommenschaft hervor.
It reflects the post-crisis re-ordering of life: once beings are re-established, social-religious order (brāhmaṇya) is instituted and human progeny begins again through normal human birth.
It implies governance through dharma: establishing brāhmaṇya (supporting Vedic learning, ritual, and ethical norms) is a key duty of the ruler/progenitor, enabling stable society and lawful procreation.
Ritually, it highlights instituting brāhmaṇya—i.e., the restoration of Vedic rites and priestly functions—rather than a direct Vāstu/temple-building rule in this specific verse.
