Adhyaya 84The Gods’ Hymn after the Slaying of Mahishasura and the Goddess’ Boon

कर्तव्यमपरं यच्च दुष्करं तन्न विद्महे ।

इत्याकर्ण्य वचो देव्याः प्रत्यऊचुस्ते दिवौकसः ॥

kartavyam aparaṃ yac ca duṣkaraṃ tan na vidmahe | ity ākarṇya vaco devyāḥ pratyūcus te divaukasaḥ ||

„Wir kennen keine andere Tat, die noch zu vollbringen wäre—und auch nichts Schwieriges (für dich), das noch unvollendet wäre.“ Nachdem sie die Worte der Göttin vernommen hatten, antworteten die Himmelsbewohner so.
