Adhyaya 84 — The Gods’ Hymn after the Slaying of Mahishasura and the Goddess’ Boon
त्रैलोक्यमेतदखिलं रिपुनाशनेन त्रातं त्वया समरमूर्धनि तेऽपि हत्वा ।
नीता दिवं रिपुगणा भयमप्यपास्तम् अस्माकमुन्मदसुरारिभवं नमस्ते ॥
trailokyametadakhilaṃ ripunāśanena trātaṃ tvayā samaramūrdhani te 'pi hatvā / nītā divaṃ ripugaṇā bhayamapyapāstam asmākamunmadasurāribhavaṃ namaste
Diese ganze dreifache Welt ist durch dich gerettet worden, indem du die Feinde vernichtet hast; nachdem du sie auf dem Gipfel der Schlacht erschlagen, hast du das feindliche Heer in den Himmel (das heißt: in den Tod) gesandt, und unsere Furcht ist gewichen. Verehrung dir, Ursprung unseres Sieges über die rasenden asurischen Feinde.
