Adhyaya 70The King Confronts the Rakshasa and Restores the Brahmin’s Wife

ब्राह्मण्युवाच अस्यैव काननस्यान्ते स तिष्ठति निशाचरः ।

प्रविश्य पश्यतु भवान् न बिभेति ततो यदि ॥

brāhmaṇyuvāca asyaiva kānanasyānte sa tiṣṭhati niśācaraḥ | praviśya paśyatu bhavān na bibheti tato yadi ||

Die Brahmanin sagte: „Jener Nachtwandler steht am Rand eben dieses Waldes. Geh hinein und sieh — wenn du ihn nicht fürchtest, dann tu es.“
