Adhyaya 62 — The Fire-God Enters the Brahmin Youth; Varuthini’s Love-Sickness and Kali’s Disguise
कलिरुवाच किं करोमि क्रियाहानिर्भवत्यत्र सतो मम ।
त्वमप्येवंविधं वाक्यं ब्रवीषि तनुमध्यमे ॥
kalir uvāca kiṃ karomi kriyā-hānir bhavaty atra sato mama | tvam apy evaṃ-vidhaṃ vākyaṃ bravīṣi tanumadhyame ||
Kālī sprach: „Was soll ich tun? Hier entsteht für mich — die ich sonst rechtschaffen bin — ein Verlust rechten Handelns und der gebührenden Riten. Und auch du, o Schlanktaillige, sprichst solche Worte!“
