Adhyaya 54 — Cosmography of Jambudvipa: Continents, Oceans, Varshas, and Mount Meru
सा परिक्रम्य वै मेरुं जम्बूमूलं पुनर्नदी ।
विशति द्विजशार्दूल पीयमाना जनैश्च तैः ॥
sā parikramya vai meruṁ jambū-mūlaṁ punar nadī | viśati dvijaśārdūla pīyamānā janaiś ca taiḥ ||
Jener Fluss, nachdem er den Berg Meru umkreist hat, kehrt wieder zur Wurzel des Jambū-Baumes zurück und tritt in ihn ein, o Tiger unter den Zweimalgeborenen—und die dortigen Wesen trinken ihn.
