FAQs

Purāṇic lists often encode a worldview where ritual speech (svāhā), sacred discipline (dīkṣā), and cosmic order (directions, stars) are integrated into a single sacred ecology.

Sarga: ordering of the cosmos through correspondences; also supports later ritual theology by grounding worship-forms in creation.

The pairing ‘names with stations’ suggests that each divine name is a vibrational key to a cosmic locus; in meditative practice, invoking a name is simultaneously invoking its ‘seat’ in the macrocosm and microcosm.
