Adhyaya 50 — Mind-Born Progeny, Svayambhuva Manu’s Lineage, and Brahmā’s Ordinance to Duḥsaha (Alakṣmī’s Retinue)
Even cosmic creation is portrayed as responding to imbalance: when propagation stalls, a forceful corrective energy arises. The text cautions that unchecked dispassion can disrupt duties tied to sustaining the world.
Sarga: secondary emergence of a deity/being from Brahmā’s affect (krodha), a common Purāṇic mechanism for differentiating cosmic functions.
Anger here is not merely moral failure but a cosmic activating power—tamas/rajas catalyzing differentiation. The sun-like radiance hints at a transformative, burning principle that compels movement in creation.
