Adhyaya 43Portents of Death (Ariṣṭa-lakṣaṇas) and the Yogin’s Response; Alarka Renounces Kingship

शशाङ्करश्मिसंयोगाच्छन्द्रकान्तमणिः पयः ।

समुत्सृजति नायुक्तः सोपमा योगिनः स्मृता ॥

śaśāṅkaraśmisaṃyogāc chandrakāntamaṇiḥ payaḥ | samutsṛjati nāyuktaḥ sopamā yoginaḥ smṛtā ||

Durch die Berührung mit den Strahlen des Mondes sondert der Mondstein (candrā-kānta) Flüssigkeit ab; doch tut er dies nicht, wenn keine rechte Konjunktion besteht. Dies wird als Gleichnis für den Yogin erinnert.
