Adhyaya 31Yoga Philosophy

रजतस्य तथा कार्यं दर्शनं दानमेव वा ।

राजते हि स्वधा दुग्धा पितृभिः श्रूयते मही ।

तस्मात् पितॄणां रजतमभीष्टं प्रीतिवर्धनम् ॥

rajatasya tathā kāryaṃ darśanaṃ dānam eva vā | rājate hi svadhā dugdhā pitṛbhiḥ śrūyate mahī | tasmāt pitṝṇāṃ rajatam abhīṣṭaṃ prītivardhanam ||

So soll man hinsichtlich des Silbers entweder dessen Vorzeigen (vor ihnen) oder dessen Schenkung vollziehen. Denn die Pitṛs sagen, die Erde sei „silberglänzend“, und Svadhā sei gleichsam milchgleich. Darum ist Silber den Pitṛs begehrenswert und vermehrt ihre Zufriedenheit.
