FAQs

A child shaped early toward non-attachment can act without being driven by profit or status. The verse anticipates the later, more explicit teaching: do your duty, but do not be owned by outcomes.

Dharma/Ācāra instruction embedded in narrative (upākhyāna). It is a moral-psychological teaching rather than a genealogical or cosmological enumeration.

‘From childhood’ points to saṃskāra at the subtle level: the mind is trained to witness action rather than identify with agency and reward, aligning with renunciatory/advaitic sensibilities.
