सहदेवस्य गोसंख्य-तन्तिपाल-रूपेण विराट-समागमः | Sahadeva’s Audience with Virāṭa as Cattle-Enumerator

द्रौपहुवाच नास्मि देवी न गन्धर्वी नासुरी न च राक्षसी । सैरन्ध्री तु भुजिष्यास्मि सत्यमेतद् ब्रवीमि ते,द्रौपदी बोली--रानीजी! मैं न तो देवी हूँ, न गन्धर्वी; न असुरपत्नी हूँ, न राक्षसी। मैं तो सेवा करनेवाली सैरन्ध्री हूँ। यह मैं आपसे सच-सच कह रही हूँ
draupady uvāca nāsmi devī na gandharvī nāsurī na ca rākṣasī | sairandhrī tu bhujiṣyāsmi satyam etad bravīmi te ||
Draupadī sagte: „Ich bin weder eine Göttin noch eine Gandharva-Frau, weder eine Asura-Frau noch eine Rākṣasī. Ich bin nur eine Sairandhrī, eine Frau in Dienst und Abhängigkeit. Das ist die Wahrheit, die ich dir sage.“
