Virāṭa’s Conciliation and Uttara’s Account of the Unseen Champion

त॑ दृष्टवा परमप्रीतो गन्धर्वश्षित्रमद्भुतम् । शशंस देवराजाय चित्रसेन: प्रतापवान्
taṁ dṛṣṭvā paramaprīto gandharvaś citram adbhutam | śaśaṁsa devarājāya citrasenaḥ pratāpavān ||
Als er dieses wunderbare und außerordentliche Schauspiel sah, wurde der Gandharva Citrāsena von großer Freude erfüllt. Der Mächtige berichtete es darauf dem König der Götter, Indra, und trug das Gesehene als etwas vor, das göttlicher Beachtung würdig sei.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights discernment and responsibility in communication: when something truly extraordinary occurs, it is to be conveyed to the proper authority (here, Indra) with clarity and due weight, rather than being treated casually.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the Gandharva Citrāsena, delighted after witnessing an astonishing event, goes on to inform Indra (the king of the gods) about it.
