तस्य तद्‌ दिव्यमस्त्रं हि विगाढं चित्रमस्यत: । प्रेक्षन्ते स्मान्तरिक्षस्था: सर्वे देवा: सवासवा:,अर्जुन विचित्र ढंगसे मर्मभेदी दिव्यास्त्रोंका प्रयोग कर रहे थे और आकाशमें खड़े हुए इन्द्र आदि सम्पूर्ण देवता उनका वह अस्त्रकौशल देख रहे थे

tasya tad divyam astraṃ hi vigāḍhaṃ citram asyataḥ | prekṣante smāntarikṣasthāḥ sarve devāḥ savāsavāḥ ||

Als er jene wunderbare, tief durchdringende göttliche Waffe in kunstvoller Weise entlud, schauten alle Götter—im Himmel stehend, Indra unter ihnen—zu und wurden Zeugen seiner Meisterschaft in himmlischen Waffen. Die Szene betont: Macht, mit Disziplin und rechtem Zweck geführt, wird zum Gegenstand göttlicher Prüfung und nicht bloß zum Schauspiel.
