वैशम्पायन उवाच
A kṣatriya’s dharma includes clarity, courage, and accountability: Arjuna publicly announces himself and signals readiness, showing that righteous action is not hidden but owned, especially when protecting order and facing conflict.
In the Virāṭa episode, Arjuna reveals his identity and, with full force, blows his conch Devadatta. The thunderous sound functions as a formal declaration and a martial signal, marking the transition from concealment to open confrontation.
