Arjuna–Karna Engagement in the Cattle-Raid Aftermath
इन्द्रोडपि हि न पार्थेन संयुगे योद्धुमर्हति । यस्तेनाशंसते योद्धुं कर्तव्यं तस्थ भेषजम्,अर्जुनके साथ तो इन्द्र भी रणभूमिमें खड़े होकर युद्ध नहीं कर सकते। फिर जो उनसे अकेले भिड़नेकी बात करता है, (वह पागल है।) उसकी दवा करानी चाहिये
indro 'pi hi na pārthena saṃyuge yoddhum arhati | yas tenāśaṃsate yoddhuṃ kartavyaṃ tasya bheṣajam ||
Kṛpa sagte: „Selbst Indra ist nicht würdig, sich auf dem Schlachtfeld Pārtha (Arjuna) zum Kampf zu stellen. Darum ist, wer prahlt, ihn allein bekämpfen zu wollen, nicht bei Sinnen; ein solcher Mensch bedarf der Behandlung.“
