इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत विराटपर्वके अन्तर्गत योहरणपर्वमें द्रोणवाक्य एवं गुप्तचर भेजनेसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाला सत्ताईसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,देवतातिथिपूजासु सर्वभावानुरागवान्‌ | इष्टदानो महोत्साह: स्वस्वधर्मपरायण: “देवता और अतिथियोंकी पूजामें सबका सर्वतोभावेन अनुराग होगा। सभी लोग दानको प्रिय मानेंगे, सबमें भारी उत्साह भरा होगा और सभी अपने-अपने धर्मके पालनमें तत्पर होंगे

Transliteration

devatātithipūjāsu sarvabhāvānurāgavān | iṣṭadāno mahotsāhaḥ svasvadharmaparāyaṇaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „In der Verehrung und Ehrung der Götter wie auch der Gäste wird es von Herzen kommende Güte und Zuneigung geben. Die Menschen werden Freude am Geben haben, von großem Eifer erfüllt sein und der Befolgung ihrer jeweiligen Pflichten (Dharma) treu bleiben.“
