Draupadī’s Lament and Indictment of Misfortune
जगामावासमेवाथ सा तदा द्रुपदात्मजा | कृत्वा शौचं यथान्यायं कृष्णा सा तनुमध्यमा,वह अपने निवासस्थानपर गयी। उस समय सूक्ष्म कटिभागवाली ट्रुपदकुमारी कृष्णाने वहाँ यथायोग्य शौच-स्नान करके जलसे अपने शरीर और वस्त्र धोये तथा वह रोती हुई उस दुःखके निवारणका उपाय सोचने लगी--
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
jagāmāvāsam evātha sā tadā drupadātmajā |
kṛtvā śaucaṃ yathānyāyaṃ kṛṣṇā sā tanumadhyamā ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Dann kehrte die Tochter Drupadas in ihre eigene Unterkunft zurück. Dort begann die schlanktaillige Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī), nachdem sie die vorgeschriebenen Reinigungsriten ordnungsgemäß vollzogen hatte, noch immer weinend darüber nachzusinnen, wie ihr Leid zu beheben sei.
