द्रौपद्याः भीमसेन-प्रबोधनम्
Draupadī Awakens Bhīmasena
वैशम्पायन उवाच स तामभिप्रेक्ष्य विशालनेत्रां जिधघृक्षमाण: परिभर्त्सयन्तीम् जग्राह तामुत्तरवस्त्रदेशे स कीचकस्तां सहसा5$क्षिपन्तीम्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्! बड़े-बड़े नेत्रोंवाली द्रौपदीको इस प्रकार फटकारती देख कीचकने उसे पकड़ लेनेकी इच्छा की; किंतु वह सहसा झटका देकर पीछेकी ओर हटने लगी; इतनेमें ही झपटकर कीचकने उसके दुपट्टेका छोर पकड़ लिया
vaiśampāyana uvāca | sa tām abhiprekṣya viśālanetrāṃ jighṛkṣamāṇaḥ paribhartsayantīm | jagrāha tām uttaravastradeśe sa kīcakas tāṃ sahasākṣipantīm ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Als Kīcaka Draupadī, die Großäugige, ihn so schelten sah, packte ihn, vom Verlangen getrieben, sie zu ergreifen; und plötzlich griff er nach dem Saum ihres Obergewandes. Sie versuchte sogleich, sich loszureißen und zurückzuweichen, doch in diesem Augenblick sprang er vor und bekam das Ende ihres Schleiers zu fassen.
