Virāṭa-parva, Adhyāya 12 — Concealed Service in Matsya and Bhīma’s Arena Victory
अश्चानां प्रकृतिं वेझि विनयं चापि सर्वश: । दुष्टानां प्रतिपत्तिं च कृत्स्नं चैव चिकित्सितम्,नकुल बोले--शत्रुदमन! सुनिये, पाँचों पाण्डवोंमें जो बड़े भ्राता युधिष्ठिर हैं, उन्होंने पहले मुझे घोड़ोंकी देखभालके कामपर लगा रखा था। मैं घोड़ोंकी जाति पहचानता हूँ एवं उन्हें सब प्रकारकी शिक्षा देनेकी कला भी जानता हूँ। दुष्ट घोड़ोंकी दुष्टता-निवारणका ढंग भी मुझे मालूम है तथा घोड़ोंकी चिकित्सा भी मैं पूर्णरूपसे जानता हूँ
aśvānāṃ prakṛtiṃ vetti vinayaṃ cāpi sarvaśaḥ | duṣṭānāṃ pratipattiṃ ca kṛtsnaṃ caiva cikitsitam ||
Nakula sprach: „Ich kenne die natürlichen Anlagen der Pferde und in jeder Hinsicht die Methoden ihrer Ausbildung und Zucht. Auch weiß ich vollständig, wie man mit widerspenstigen Pferden verfährt, und beherrsche die ganze Kunst ihrer Behandlung und Heilung.“
