पुलस्त्य उवाच
Purification is not merely physical bathing; when joined with disciplined self-control and sincere worship of devas and pitṛs, it becomes a dharmic practice that leads toward the highest spiritual attainment.
Pulastya addresses a king and describes the merit of bathing at a sacred place and then performing worship of gods and ancestors; he states that such a restrained, devoted person becomes purified and reaches the supreme goal.
