Educational Q&A

A ruler’s dharma includes calming fear and restoring morale among citizens and subjects; compassionate reassurance is presented as a key ethical duty of governance.

The king of Niṣadha enters and addresses the townspeople, consoling them; both city-dwellers and people from the surrounding districts respond with visible joy and relief.
