एवं बहुविधा वाचस्त ऊचुर्भरतर्षभ । सर्वे तेजस्विन: शूरा: सर्वे चाहतलक्षणा:,भरतकुलतिलक! इस प्रकार उन वीरोंने अनेक प्रकारकी बातें कही थीं। वे सब-के-सब तेजस्वी और शूरवीर हैं। उनके शुभ लक्षण अमिट हैं
evaṃ bahuvidhā vācas ta ūcur bharatarṣabha | sarve tejasvinaḥ śūrāḥ sarve cāhatalakṣaṇāḥ ||
So sprachen sie, o Stier unter den Bharatas, vielerlei Worte. Alle waren strahlend und heldenhaft, und alle trugen glückverheißende Zeichen, die nicht verblassten—Merkmale standhafter Würde und dauernder Vortrefflichkeit.
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse highlights an ethical ideal of leadership and nobility: true worth is shown not only by brave speech but by enduring inner radiance (tejas) and unimpaired auspicious qualities—steadfast character that remains intact despite hardship.
Yudhiṣṭhira summarizes that the assembled heroes had spoken in many different ways, and he characterizes them collectively as radiant, courageous men whose auspicious traits and signs remain undiminished.
