दमयन्त्याः व्याकुलता — स्वयंवरसंनिपातः — देवदूतयाचनम्
Damayantī’s Distress, Proclamation of the Svayaṃvara, and the Gods’ Request
तेषां द्रक्ष्यसि पाउ्चालि गात्राणि पृथिवीतले । क्रव्यादे: कृष्पमाणानि भक्ष्यमाणानि चासकृत्,'पांचालराजकुमारि! तुम देखोगी कि उन दुष्टोंके शरीर इस पृथ्वीपर मांसाहारी गीदड़- गीध आदि पशु-पक्षियोंद्वारा बार-बार घसीटे और खाये जा रहे हैं
teṣāṁ drakṣyasi pāñcāli gātrāṇi pṛthivītale | kravyādaiḥ kṛṣyamāṇāni bhakṣyamāṇāni cāsakṛt ||
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „O Pāñcālī, du wirst ihre Leiber auf der Erde liegen sehen — umhergeschleift und immer wieder von fleischfressenden Kreaturen wie Schakalen und Geiern zerfetzt und verzehrt.“
