युधि सत्याभिसंधेन वासुदेवेन रक्षिता: । प्रधक्ष्यन्ति रणे पार्था: पुत्राणां मम वाहिनीम्,“अमर्षमें भरे हुए माद्रीकुमार द्रौपदीको दिये गये उस कष्टको कभी क्षमा नहीं करेंगे। महान् धनुर्धर वृष्णिवंशी, महातेजस्वी पांचाल योद्धा और युद्धमें सत्यप्रतिज्ञ वासुदेव श्रीकृष्णसे सुरक्षित कुन्तीपुत्र निश्चय ही मेरे पुत्रोंकी सेनाको भस्म कर डालेंगे
Vaiśampāyana uvāca:
yudhi satyābhisandhena vāsudevena rakṣitāḥ |
pradhakṣyanti raṇe pārthāḥ putrāṇāṁ mama vāhinīm ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Im Kampf, von Vāsudeva beschützt — dessen Entschluss in der Wahrheit gründet —, werden die Pārthas im Gefecht das Heer meiner Söhne gewiss zu Asche verbrennen.“
