यच्चेक्षितासि विस्पष्टं विशेषेण मया शुभे । तच्च कारणपूर्व हि शृणु सत्यं शुचिस्मिते,'शुभे! पवित्र मुसकानवाली उर्वशी! मैंने जो उस समय सभामें तुम्हारी ओर एकटक दृष्टिसे देखा था, उसका एक विशेष कारण था, उसे सत्य बताता हूँ सुनो--

Transliteration

yac cekṣitāsi vispaṣṭaṁ viśeṣeṇa mayā śubhe | tac ca kāraṇapūrvaṁ hi śṛṇu satyaṁ śucismite ||

Translation

„O Glückverheißende, o du mit reinem, sanftem Lächeln: Der feste, unverkennbare Blick, mit dem ich dich ansah, hatte einen besonderen Grund. Höre; ich will dir die Wahrheit sagen, denn er entsprang einer bestimmten Ursache.“
