Bhīmasena’s Discourse on Kāla, Resolve, and the Feasibility of Ajñātavāsa (भीमसेनस्य कालोपदेशः)
महापापानि कर्माणि यानि केवलसाहसात् । आरभ्यन्ते भीमसेन व्यथन्ते तानि भारत,भरतनन्दन भीमसेन! जो महान् पापमय कर्म केवल साहसके भरोसे आरम्भ किये जाते हैं, वे सभी कष्टदायक होते हैं
mahāpāpāni karmāṇi yāni kevala-sāhasāt | ārabhyante bhīmasena vyathante tāni bhārata ||
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „O Bhīmasena, Taten von schwerer Sünde, die allein aus tollkühner Verwegenheit begonnen werden, bringen unweigerlich Leid. O Spross der Bharatas: Solche Wagnisse—ohne Besinnung auf Dharma und Folgen begonnen—werden zu Quellen des Schmerzes.“
