युधिछ्िर उवाच सरस्येकेन पादेन तिष्ठन्तमपराजितम् | पृच्छामि को भवान् देवो न मे यक्षो मतो भवान्,युधिष्ठिर बोले--इस सरोवरमें एक पैरसे खड़े हुए, किसीसे भी पराजित न होनेवाले आपसे मैं पूछता हूँ--आप कौन देवश्रेष्ठ हैं? मुझे तो आप यक्ष नहीं मालूम होते
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | sarasy ekena pādena tiṣṭhantam aparājitam | pṛcchāmi ko bhavān devo na me yakṣo mato bhavān ||
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „In diesem See stehst du auf einem einzigen Fuß, von niemandem zu bezwingen; ich frage dich: Wer bist du, o Vornehmster der Götter? Mir scheinst du kein Yakṣa zu sein.“
