Kuntī’s Regulated Hospitality to a Brāhmaṇa Guest

तयोर्युद्धमभूद्‌ घोरं हरिराक्षसवीरयो: । जिगीषतोर्युधान्योन्यमिन्द्रप्रह्मलादयोरिव,उन दोनों वानर तथा राक्षसवीरोंमें भयंकर युद्ध छिड़ गया। वे इन्द्र और प्रह्नादकी भाँति युद्ध करके एक-दूसरेको जीतना चाहते थे

tayor yuddham abhūd ghoraṃ harirākṣasavīrayoḥ | jigīṣator yudhānyonyam indraprahlādayor iva ||

Mārkaṇḍeya sprach: Zwischen jenen beiden Helden — dem Affen und dem rākṣasa — entbrannte ein schrecklicher Kampf. Jeder focht, den anderen zu bezwingen, wie einst Indra und Prahlāda.
